On the eve of the 135th birth anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, our school organized a meaningful procession that brought together students, teachers, and staff in a spirit of unity, respect, and gratitude. The atmosphere was filled with purpose as we paid tribute to a visionary leader and champion of equality whose legacy continues to inspire generations.
The program began in the morning with students assembled in neat lines, holding banners, placards, and portraits reflecting Baba Saheb’s ideals. Slogans promoting equality, justice, and education echoed throughout, spreading awareness about his teachings. Teachers and staff actively joined the procession, making it a collective and disciplined effort that also engaged the local community.
On reaching Children’s Park in Bodhgaya, the tribute ceremony began. A beautifully decorated statue of Baba Saheb was honored with a large garland, followed by floral offerings from students and staff. This gesture symbolized deep respect and gratitude toward a leader who dedicated his life to uplifting the oppressed and marginalized. The peaceful environment allowed everyone to reflect on his inspiring journey and his role as the architect of the Indian Constitution.
The highlight of the event was the Principal’s speech, which beautifully described Dr. Ambedkar’s life, struggles, and contributions. Students were encouraged to follow his ideals of equality, education, and social justice. Some students also shared short speeches and poems, adding enthusiasm and meaning to the program.
Afterward, the gathering moved to Jay Prakash Udyan, where the celebration continued near the main temple. The serene surroundings deepened the sense of reflection and respect.
Overall, the event was both educational and inspiring, leaving a lasting impression and encouraging everyone to follow the path shown by Baba Saheb.
