Educate a child, change the world

Environment Awareness Project among the students

Along with studies, field trips, school trips are also necessary to get an active education. It is our priority to make our children sharp, smart, creative as we have the responsibility for their bright future. So, we are trying our best in “Mummy jee school” to provide living teachings  among the children in our classes by creating new projects with their participation. This time-project wasplanned by the children and teachers of “Mummy Jee Free Boarding School”, and organized at “Happy Nursery” Domuhan, Bodhgaya.

During this session hon’ble Director of “Mummy Jee Free Boarding School” Dr. Jeanne Pere told that natural medicinal plants are best for our lives, & can be used as complements of conventional medicine for serious illness. On one hand, they have no side- effects on human bodies and on the other hand these natural plants are able enough to reduce most of the body-related ailments. But, we need to know their existence & get a good knowledge of them. The aim of this project was to get an approach of some medicinal plants and learn about their benefits.

The Director of “Happy Nursery”,Mr. Rajkumar Dubey – ex-officer of Forest Department of India – introduced the children in a nice way to different medicinal plants and their curing effects. During this project-session Mr. Dubey informed about the medicinal aspects of plants like Giloy (Tinospora cordifolia), Patharchatta (Kalanchoe Pinnata), and kadipatta (Murraya Koenigii) and so on…

The senior students composing this group took a serious note of the information given by Mummy Jee and Mr. Rajkumar Dubey. Then, when returning in class, they did a sum up of their visit by writing appropriate texts, drawings with joined photos.
