To help one child is to change the world

Visiting of Gaya Jee Dam for the purpose of Rubber Dam Education Project

In the guidance of Mummy Jee, the teachers of our Mummy Jee Educational Charitable Trust have made a Project to make the children visit the longest Rubber Dam in India “Gaya Jee Dam” on the basis of an educational tour. And on 07.08.2023 the teachers along with all the childrens have visited the Gaya Jee Dam. Everyone was amazed to see the incredible work of Engineering.

Apart from the rubber dam, the banks along the Falgu River have also been developed and a steel bridge has been built for pilgrims to visit Sita Kund.

The rubber dam is made of 17 mm thick rubber. This dam is 400 meters wide and 3 meters high. After the construction of the dam, its water will be stored for about two and a half kilometers.

The height of Rubber Dam has been kept at three meters. It will hold water up to three meters. If there is more water than this, the water from the top of the rubber dam will flow downwards i.e. in the north direction. In special circumstances, arrangements have been made to release water from the rubber dam. And after a few days of rainy season the water vanished from this river. So for keeping water every time in this river The Government of Bihar has brought the water from Ganga River through pipeline. So that the river could always be fulfilled with the water.

The experts claim that it will not deteriorate for 100 years. This rubber dam, built at a cost of about 312 crores.

Including Gaya Jee Dam they have also visited two famous and sacred the Hindu places near it (Vishnupad temple and Sita Kund).

Here I would tell you that the Falgu is an important river of Gaya, Bihar. It is a holy river for Hindus and Buddhists.
